BENEFITS OF WORKING AT EMERICK Residential Builders
- COMPETITIVE PAY
- Experience is an important contributor for every position, there is a multitude of ways for increased compensation: earning a degree, taking technical courses, and on-the-job training.
- ZERO MONOTONY
- A typical day does not include a 9 to 5 desk job but instead in the field and various locations. Construction progress is visible from day to day and challenges from yesterday can be different from the challenges faced tomorrow. These variables keep project teams on their toes and experiencing something new each day.
- TEAM WORK
- Construction work is teamwork. You’ll meet all sorts of new people with similar skills and interests as you — and you’ll all work together to accomplish and build something awesome.
- GET A HEAD START
- A lot of construction careers follow an apprenticeship learning model. This means that as soon as you decide you want to pursue a skilled craft, you can begin working with on-the-job training while also earning a paycheck.
- PROJECTED GROWTH
- It is estimated that 29% of the construction workforce will retire by 2026. As the older generation leaves, opportunities in skilled crafts will open up , specifically in high-up positions, meaning there will be a lot of room for career growth.
The Trades Apprenticeship Program is supported by the US Department of Labor through the CSG (The Closing the Skill Gap) Grant. A total of $369,471, or 10% of the program, is financed with federal funds over a four-year period.
