About NIC

North Idaho College is a comprehensive community college located on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene at the headwaters of the Spokane River. NIC, established in 1933, serves as a cornerstone of education and economic development in the Idaho Panhandle. Employees have the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant college community that includes students enrolled in both credit courses and non-credit programs.

NIC extends its reach across northern Idaho through regional facilities such as the Parker Technical Education Center in Rathdrum, the Workforce Training Center in Post Falls, and NIC at Sandpoint. These locations enable the college to meet the diverse educational needs of the Idaho Panhandle’s communities, including Kootenai, Benewah, Bonner, Shoshone and Boundary counties.
