Program Description
The Health Information Fundamentals certificate program is designed for those who wish to continue their education with Idaho State University (ISU) and earn an associate of applied science degree in Health Information Technology.
ISU courses required to complete the A.A.S. degree are offered through distance education so students can complete the degree without moving to ISU's campus. Upon completion of ISU's Health Information Technology A.A.S. degree graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Successful completion of the examination results in earning the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential.
