Dining Serves Provided by Culinary Arts Students

Students get real-world experience in the kitchen, dining room, and deli operating Emery's Restaurant.

The Culinary Arts program provides students with entry-level skills in the food service industry. Students receive instruction in cooking and baking, as well as theoretical knowledge that underlines competency in the field. Additional training involves table service, menus, cost controls, storeroom, and stewarding.


NIC CulArts Cafe's to host 'Name That Drink Contest'

Are you a creative wordsmith with a love for flavors? Here's your chance to shine! 

NIC Culinary Arts will have free drink samples 

  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20
  • Located on the second floor of the Hedlund Building
To enter, try or purchase the unnamed drink and fill out a ballot before Oct. 12.
  • A winner will be selected Oct. 18 and will receive an NIC prize basket and a free drink.
