Program Description
The Hospitality Management program prepares students for entry-level management in the hospitality industry. Hospitality Management blends classroom instruction with hands-on learning in the areas of management human resources accounting food and beverage operations and lodging operations. An internship provides students with an opportunity to work in the field and be well prepared for future employment in restaurant catering hotels and other segments of the hospitality industry.
Students have the option to enhance their learning through participation in on-campus, student-run labs—Lakeview Sip and Study and Emery’s. At LVSS, students gain experience preparing and serving specialty beverages in a café-style environment, while Emery’s offers hands-on training in full-service dining and culinary operations. These optional opportunities allow students to apply classroom concepts in real-world settings, build confidence, and develop professional skills. Graduates leave the program well-prepared to launch successful careers in a variety of hospitality settings.
